Prayer Request

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:9-14 (NIV)
Prayer is an intentional and meaningful way that every individual can deepen his or her personal relationship with God. It is a time when we admit our needs, adopt humility and acknowledge dependence upon God. Prayer is an exercise of faith and hope. An important part of our Christian faith is the coming together in prayer.
The purpose of this prayer chain is to unite us as Christians to pray for one another, other individuals, groups, families and events. It functions as a circle of communication among fellow Christians. This chain is used to strengthen all participants through intercessory prayer and to provide support for those in need. Requests may come from anyone at anytime. You do not need to be a member or even attend LaVernia UMC to make a request for prayer. Requests are received sent to people all over the United States.
With the exception of military addresses, all requests are sent “blind copy carbon”. This is done to prevent the prayer list from being used for any purpose other then what it was originally intended. We ask that you put the individual/family/event in the subject line. Updates to a request are not necessary but are welcome.
By submitting a prayer request on an individual/family, you are acknowledging consent from the individual or an immediate family member to make the request on their behalf.
To be added or removed from the prayer chain distribution list at any time, simply send an email to caremee@gvec.net with your request.
